3:57 PM [6] Janette MacKinlay’s “A Healing Journey Through Art.” Janette MacKinlay lived across the street from the World Trade Center, and was home when the events of September 11th occurred. In this film of her June 10, 2009 Sacramento presentation, she tells how she used her art – ikebana - to heal herself from the horrific trauma of that day. 6:31 PM [7] At the “Hard Evidence Tour Down Under” held in Sydney, Australia on November 14/15, 2009, Steven Jones, PhD gave a presentation entitled “9/11: Science and Society.” Steven Jones is famous for his team’s scientific proof of the presence of high-explosives in the dust from “9/11.” In this first portion of Professor Jones’ talk, he describes the nature of scientific papers and the peer-review process. 6:51 PM [8] Janice Matthews is the Executive Director of the website 911truth.org. In her presentation at the “Hard Evidence Tour Down Under” on November 14/15, 2009, Janice speaks about “putting 9/11 Truth into action, where we are and where we go from here.” [43:43]

7:40 PM [9] By February of 2010, a landmark 1,000 architects and engineers had signed the petition posted on AE911truth.org, the website of Richard Gage, AIA, demanding a “truly independent investigation with subpoena power in order to uncover the full truth surrounding the events of 9/11/01.” On February 19, 2010, a press conference was held in San Francisco to commemorate the 1,000 signatures. On April 23rd, Steven Jones, Ph.D., professor emeritus from BYU will speak in Davis. Dr. Jones is noted for his research that found incontrovertible scientific evidence that the incendiary thermate was present in the steel samples from the WTC that he studied.

Dr. Jones' April presentation will detail information uncoverd in his latest research. The event is being coordinated by Davis 9/11 Truth, and there is a possibility of a second presentation in Sacramento on 4/22. Additional information will be posted as it becomes available.

Making Peace presents a special lecture by former British MI5 agent Annie Machon. This acclaimed author, internationally renowned whistleblower and co-chair of the British 9/11 Truth Campaign will discuss “The Growing International 9/11 Truth Movement.”

Admission is free, donations are appreciated. A discussion will follow the presentation.

Annie Machon read classics at Cambridge, later beginning work as an intelligence officer for MI5 in 1991, the British agency analogous to our FBI. In 1997 Annie blew the whistle on the crimes and incompetence of the British spy agencies. Her disclosures included surveillance of Labour politicians, illegal phone taps, and false-flag terrorism.

After blowing the whistle Annie went on the run, living in exile in France for 3 years to avoid arrest and imprisonment. Her story is detailed in her book Spies, Lies and Whistleblowers: MI5, MI6 and the Shayler Affair.

Since 2002, Annie has been an active peace and civil rights campaigner and is currently co-chair of the British 9/11 Truth Campaign. She is also involved in a new peace campaign called Make Wars History, which aims at holding political leaders to account using international laws of war. Additionally, she is working on creating an international think tank.

In 2003, Hicks was documented in “Horns and Halos” (HBO/Cinemax) the independent publishing documentary that recorded Hicks’s attempts to get unpopular truths out about G.W.Bush, through the biography Fortunate Son (Soft Skull, 1999). His own book, The Big Wedding (Vox Pop, 2005) breaks new ground on the working-class intelligence assets and whistle-blowers who tried to stop 9/11 from happening. On Saturday, September 8th, Sacramento 9/11 Truth presented author and activist Don Paul. Don first presented, on film, evidence that the three skyscrapers – the "Twin Towers" and 47-story WTC Building 7 – were brought down by controlled demolition, not by fires caused by burning jet fuel as we’ve been led to believe by the corporate, controlled media. He then gave an exposition of why certain parties are the most likely suspects for orchestrating this mass murder and psychological operation, or "psyop", upon all of us, and what specific crimes they are most likely guilty of, and why. Don Paul had been chosen as the Prosecutor for both the Los Angeles and San Diego Citizens’ Grand Jury Investigations into 9/11. Don Paul’s San Diego Citizens’ Grand Jury findings have recently been posted on the Scholars for 9/11 Truth & Justice website. The September 8 Don Paul event is on google video.

'Tis the Season for 9/11 Propaganda

As another anniversary of 9/11 approaches the so-called History channel is airing a program 9/11 Conspiracies: Fact or Fiction. The program is the most masterful piece of 9/11 propaganda produced yet covering all the common "debunking" bases. The program presumes that everything is fiction in the world of the "9/11 Conspiracy Movement." Propped up by so-called experts who provide the "truth" contrasted with "conspiracies" the program makes endless untrue assertions and uses information out of context. Once again the "truth" relies on the Popular Mechanics' "expert" panel and others who do all they can to support the "official story." What makes this program different is that they actually tell a lot about 9/11 but in a very dismissive manner leaving endless piles of doubt and guilt for anyone who may be skeptical about the government's version of events.

Fire Consumes Remnants of Deutsche Bank Building

Remnants of the Deutsche Bank office building located near ground zero mysteriously caught fire August 18, 2007. According to reports, more than 700 bones and fragments were discovered in the contaminated skyscraper from mid-2005 through June 2007. The building was in the process of being dismantled; it was noted to be a "constant headache for redevelopers" and was contaminated with toxic dust and debris from the demolition of the WTC. The questions will remain how did these "fragments" end up on a rooftop of a nearby building and what other evidence was located at this site?

In early November 2007, William Rodriguez will be in Sacramento for a speaking engagement; he is currently on The Last Man Out Tour. Details will be posted as they become available. Following is an excerpt from a press release announcing his speaking date in Los Angeles:

A TRUE HERO ON 9/11 AND BEYOND
Declared a hero for saving numerous lives at Ground Zero, he was the janitor on duty the morning of 9/11 who heard and felt explosions rock the basement sub-levels of the north tower just seconds before the jetliner struck the top floors. His testimony, which was omitted from the 9/11 Commission, absolutely destroys the government's official story because it means that explosives must have been placed in the buildings. Several eyewitnesses who were on the scene also claim they heard multiple explosions before the buildings collapsed.

At great risk to his own life, William re-entered the Towers three times after the first, North Tower impact and is believed to be the last person to exit the North Tower alive, surviving the building ' s collapse by diving beneath a fire truck. After receiving medical attention at the WTC site for his injuries, he then spent the rest of the day aiding as a volunteer in the rescue efforts, and at dawn the following morning, was back continuing his heroic efforts.

There was a good turn out this month at 11th and L Streets and there was a lot of positive response. A key event occurred during the demonstration, numerous CHP motorcycle police appeared and some dark blue SUVs then the CHPs shut down the road and escorted two SUVs that quickly sped past us; the SUVs were carrying none other than California's Governor, the infamous Arnold Schwarzenegger. Unfortunately no photos were taken this month, but many photos from around the world are posted on the Truth Action photo page.

New Hampshire Rejects the Federal Real ID Act

According to an article July 2, 2007, "New Hampshire has officially rejected the federal Real ID Act as tantamount to requiring a national ID card..."

New Hampshire joins five other states that have also rejected the federal act: South Carolina, Montana, Washington, Oklahoma and Maine.

Gov. John Lynch signed the new bill; the new law "calls the act 'repugnant' to the state and federal constitutions. The law prohibits the state from complying with the act..."

On June 11, 2007, three local activists joined by a visitor from Tucson 9/11 Truth, continued outreach at 11th/L Streets in Downtown Sacramento. Many stopped to pick up flyers and a couple of dvds were distributed. Response was generally positive with exception of a man on his cell phone who stopped mid conversation to tell the group to go f*&% themselves. Details on the next action will be posted shortly.

Of note was the June Truth Action in San Francisco where Robert Bowman called for the media outlets to do their job.

Robert Bowman's Patriot Tour Stops in Sacramento

With his copy of the Constitution in hand, Robert Bowman spoke to a full house in Sacramento Friday night. His presentation was excellent and well received, but most notable was his emphasis on 9/11 including video of the sudden implosion of WTC-7. As evidenced by the audience reaction many had not yet seen any footage of WTC-7. Bowman also called for a new investigation of 9/11. Following the presentation many headed straight for the Sacramento 9/11 Truth table to get more information. Bowman is travelling across the nation in an RV for his Patriot Tour.

Chico 9/11 Truth is the subject of the May 3, 2007, Chico News and Review's cover article. The cover states the group "preaches its gospel of 9/11 truth" and reiterates the theme throughout the piece. At least this piece notes the group's website and meeting schedule which could not be said for the sorry piece constructed by SNR's RV Sheide last June. As with the SNR article, this one is full of limiting language and odd characterizations.

We appreciate you taking the time in your busy schedule on [date] to listen to our concerns in regard to "9/11", and some of our reasons for asking your help in obtaining an investigation that follows the factual evidence of this crime.

Although only [number] of us spoke with you from your [name of city] branch office, we wish to remind you that we represent a large portion of your constituency, and that our issue is non-partisan. According to a Zogby poll in May of 2006, 42% of the American public believe that there was a "cover-up" in regard to "9/11" - that the U.S. Government and its 9/11 Commission concealed or refused to investigate critical evidence.

If one lays aside the mystique surrounding "9/11", it was nothing more than a crime - the worst mass-murder in American history, but just a crime nevertheless. [Congressperson/Senator last name], there was never any real investigation of this crime by professional investigative police agencies. No detectives of the NYPD taped off this crime scene, and took photographs and samples of chemical residues for analysis, etc. No investigators of any kind gathered evidence, and then followed that evidence wherever that trail might lead to find possible perpetrators, as is normal police procedure. In violation of New York laws, evidence at the crime scene was destroyed as rapidly as possible, and the steel shipped away on huge barges. Immediately following this horrendous crime, while the nation was traumatized, officials of the Bush Administration and their media spokespersons told the public a story about Muslims with box-cutters; no proof of this story's veracity was ever given. Well over a year later, the 9/11 Commission was very reluctantly formed, and its Commission Report, under Bush-crony Philip Zelikow as Director, simply substantiated the story they'd begun with and ignored the vast amounts of factual evidence that did not fit that fable.

[Congressperson/Senator last name], we don't presume to know which specific facts would be most effective in convincing you. Therefore, we've listed below only some of the most compelling.

1) As you know, it is Standard Operating Procedure to scramble jetfighters whenever a jetliner goes off course or radio contact with it is lost. For example, between September 2000 and June 2001, interceptors were scrambled 67 times. On September 11, 2001, Flight 77 was in the air for most of an hour without radio contact before the Pentagon was hit. The top speed of F-15s is 1875 mph; the top speed of F-16s is 1500 mph - far faster than a jetliner's speed of about 500 to 600mph. Andrews Air Force Base is only ten miles from the Pentagon; Langley AFB is about 130 miles away. Where was NORAD? Why were routine interception procedures for all four airplanes not followed on September 11, 2001?

2) Firefighters in New York City are trained to fight all types of fires in skyscrapers; they're professionals. On September 11th, they knew that mere fire caused by burning jet fuel cannot bring down steel and concrete structures, since such fires cannot approach the temperatures needed to weaken or melt steel. Therefore, they went into the Towers to rescue people and to knock down the fires. NYFD Battalion Chief Orio J. Palmer reached the impact zone of the South Tower - the 78th floor - at 9:48EDT and reported on his radio only "... two isolated pockets of fire. We should be able to knock it down with two lines... " (There is existing audio of his radio transmission.) Eleven minutes later, the South Tower began to explode.

3) About an hour (South Tower) to an hour and a half (North Tower) following the impact of the airplanes, each Twin Tower suddenly and inexplicably began to explode. Starting at the top and continuing downward for all 110 floors, each Tower was pulverized at a rate of almost 10 floors per second, killing everyone in each building. In about 13 seconds the 90,000 tons of solid concrete in each Tower was turned to a fine dust in mid-air. (There were no concrete boulders in the rubble piles.) This fine dust spread out from the scene of destruction in a pyroclastic flow, such as that following a volcanic eruption, and the dust covered Manhattan. Huge pieces of steel were hurled laterally for hundreds of feet in all directions. Molten metal can be seen streaming from the side of one Tower as it exploded, and the "pile" of rubble itself contained molten steel for weeks afterward. Fire alone cannot melt steel, and the above evidence points to the use of high explosives. There were numerous eyewitnesses to the explosions in the Towers, including many emergency personnel who have testified to them. All of the above are well-documented facts, and can be seen in photographs, and both seen and heard in videotaped evidence, and videotaped statements of eyewitnesses.

4) A third skyscraper, WTC Building 7, was a steel-framed concrete structure as big as a city block, 47 stories in height and 300 feet from the closest Twin Tower (the North Tower). On September 11th, Building 7 was not hit by an airplane or significant debris, and only a few small fires of unknown origin could be seen in its hundreds and hundreds of windows. At 5:20 in the afternoon of September 11th, Building 7 suddenly imploded into its own footprint. It cascaded to earth in less than seven seconds in the manner of a controlled demolition. The implosion of WTC Building 7 was not mentioned in the 9/11 Commission Report.

In the hopes that you would take some time to look into this important issue, about two weeks ago through your branch office in [name of city], we mailed to you movies, books, articles and pamphlets that document all of the above, and much more. This material is the result of research by people with impeccable credentials, and is available to the general public.

Indeed, because justice has never been served a dark cloud will hang over our nation until there actually is an investigation into this crime. Strong 9/11 Truth Presence in SF Anti-War March (Reposted)

A quick report on the anti-war march held in San Francisco on March 18. There was a strong and visible presence for 9/11 truth in the march. The local group brought the massive 9/11 commission report "full of holes" and wheeled it through the march. Many informational cards and deception dollars were distributed to those in the crowd and on the sidewalk. Another activist bullhorned the crowd and onlookers with key 9/11 information. Activists' signs were clearly visible on the nightly channel 2 news. There were two tables with 9/11 information available at the end of the march--both tables were very busy with people seeking more information about what really happened on 9/11/01.

Citizens Press District 1 Congressman for New Investigation of 9/11

On February 6, 2007, five concerned citizens were "permitted" to speak with Mike Thompson, US Representative, District 1, via conference call. During the brief call (10-15 minutes) the concerned citizens presented information and called for a new investigation into what really happened on September 11. Prior to the meeting a letter was composed and forwarded to the Congressman for his review.

Dear Congressman Thompson:

We the undersigned are your constituents in Yolo County who are scheduled to speak with you by telephone on February 6th at 10:30AM. We’re concerned about the direction our nation has taken especially since the events of September 11th, and we feel that these events deserve further scrutiny.

After September 11, 2001, we were told that "9/11" "changed everything". We were also told that nothing would ever be the same in America again and that we were now in a state of ongoing emergency; "all cards were on the table".

Benjamin Franklin once warned that those who are willing to exchange their freedom for more security deserve neither.

Since September 11th, much in our Bill of Rights and Constitution was nullified, for example, by the Patriot Act and the Military Commissions Act; the latter destroys "habeas corpus", a person’s right to challenge their detention in court. Bush’s "signing statements" have undermined Congress itself in that Bush in these statements refuses to abide by laws that Congress has enacted. The un-American use of torture has been openly advocated by Bush and Cheney. Surveillance of law-abiding citizens has been promoted. Executive Orders have been written, giving Bush extra-Constitutional powers. An unending "war on terror" has been embarked upon, and the United States now has a policy of pre-emptive attack on any nation it so chooses. Somalia has been the target of recent air strikes. Two nations – Afghanistan and Iraq – have so far been bombed, invaded, and occupied with enormous costs, in dollars and in human lives, to Americans and to innocent Iraqi and Afghani civilians in their own countries. What Eisenhower warned us about – "the military industrial complex" – has grown exponentially with gargantuan infusions of our tax dollars; over ten billion dollars per month is spent on the war.

All of this, and more, has been "justified" by the mass-murder known as "9/11".

Yet many questions remain about "9/11" itself, and its aftermath. Think about it. "9/11" was most certainly a crime, and yet no real criminal investigation was ever conducted. There was no official “crime scene” with investigative agencies taking samples, photographing, etc., and then following the trail of the evidence. Instead, with the country still traumatized, the evidence at “Ground Zero” was destroyed as rapidly as possible, the steel shipped out of the country on barges. (Fire Engineering Magazine protested in a blistering editorial about this in about early 2002, but to no avail.) We were given a story about Muslims with box-cutters, and expected to simply take the word of our “leaders” and to blindly believe what they told us through the media.

Partly because of the lack of a real investigation, a huge body of research has been done apart from the reluctantly formed, circumscribed and under-funded “9/11 Commission”, headed by Bush-crony Philip Zelikow as Director. Many articles have been written, and books and videos of an informational and educational nature independently produced in order to get the facts of “9/11” to the public – facts largely unreported in any U.S. media – such as the implosion, in less than seven seconds, of a THIRD tower, WTC Building 7, at 5:20 in the afternoon of September 11th. This 47-story steel and concrete structure was not hit by an airplane or significant debris; its rapid implosion was not mentioned in the 9/11 Commission Report. The website http://www.patriotsquestion911.com lists page after page of senior military, intelligence service, law enforcement, and government officials critical of the 9/11 Commission Report. Pilots for 9/11 Truth, on the web at http://www.pilotsfor911truth.org, is an international organization of aviation professionals and pilots that does not accept the 9/11 Commission Report as a satisfactory explanation, and seeks a new investigation. Veterans for 9/11 Truth, at http://v911t.org, is dedicated to “presenting evidence exposing the deception and lies … concerning the events of that tragic day”. Scholars for 9/11 Truth and Justice at http://stj911.org, the Journal of 9/11 Studies at http://www.worldtradecentertruth.com , and Scholars for 9/11 Truth, at http://911scholars.org/ are groups of credentialed academics who work to expose the falsehoods and reveal the truths about “9/11”, and provide evidence and peer-reviewed research.

David Ray Griffin, Professor of Philosophy of Religion and Theology, Emeritus, at the Claremont School of Theology and the author of twenty-five books, has written the definitive critique of the 9/11 Commission Report. It’s entitled The 9/11 Commission Report: Omissions and Distortions, Olive Branch Press, 2005. For further research, this book is highly recommended. To take one quote, from page 13: “… the Commission failed disgracefully. The Commission’s mandate, as Kean and Hamilton pointed out, was to investigate ‘facts and circumstances relating to the terrorist attacks of September 11th’ and then to provide ‘the fullest possible account’ of those facts and circumstances. What the Commission actually did however, was only to provide a fairly full account of those facts and circumstances that are consistent with the official conspiracy theory about 9/11. Every fact inconsistent with this theory is either distorted or entirely omitted.”

A poll conducted by the International Zogby Institute found that by mid-2006, 42% of the American public questioned the “official version” of the events of “9/11”. That percentage has increased since then, and we count ourselves among that number.

A crime that has had, and is having, such an impact on our world, our country, and all of our lives is surely deserving of a completely independent investigation. We hope that you will support us in this effort to seek true justice, and to change the disastrous direction in which we find our nation headed.

Local activists joined the anti-war contingent and reached hundreds in the Martin Luther King, Jr. March on January 15, distributing deception dollars and talking to many about 9/11 and other critical topics.
Following the Sacbee's Newstand excerpt two 9/11 truth letters were printed in the Letters to the Editor, January 14, 2007.

Letter 1: 'False flag ops' and gatekeepers
"Re "From the newsstands," Forum, Jan. 7: Trust the 9/11 gatekeepers? We are tired of waiting for the gatekeepers to catch up! When are they going to at least acknowledge prior "false flag ops"? The Reichstag fire in 1933, the Gladio paramilitary terrorism operations in Western Europe during the Cold War, the USS Liberty incident of 1967 and Operation Northwoods -- the 1962 plan proposed by senior U.S. Defense Department leaders included terrorism on U.S. soil, crashing drone aircraft, people framed (to make it appear to be a Fidel Castro operation) and hijacked planes.

With such history, what system would investigate -- giving us the complete and utter truth, thus earning our trust? Or would that system just tell us to shut up? The 9/11 Popular Mechanics story provided no evidence to back up its claims and, despite experts listed in the article, cites only a handful. I trump Pop Mech with David Griffins' book "The 9/11 Commission Report: Omissions And Distortions," one of his four on Sept. 11. And consider the work of the hundreds of professionals coming forward in groups such as Scholars for 9/11 Truth and the newly formed Pilots for 9/11 Truth and Veterans for 9/11 Truth. Why would WTC building 7 fall down when no plane hit it? Do all steel frame buildings collapse from a few small fires? Gatekeepers need not apply."

Letter 2: Whitewashing Sept. 11
"One third of the people of America, a very significant number, believe that people very high in our government conspired in 9/11.

What especially insulted me in "From the Newsstands" (Forum, Jan. 7) was this: the word paranoia.

For over five years, I have investigated every aspect of this brutal Sept. 11 event: No U.S. military planes in the sky even after almost two hours; as a former military radar technician, I know that is impossible, unless there was an ordered stand-down.

An airliner over Pennsylvania dives straight down into the soft earth below and yet one engine "bounces" two miles. WTC7 free falls in 10 seconds, many hours after the planes were gone, and is described by honorable and honest explosive experts as a planned implosion.

I have seriously investigated this conspiracy; the government provided a whitewash fiasco that did not even prove that the accused were guilty."

The march starts 8:30am at the Oak Park Community Center (3425 Martin Luther King Jr Blvd), passes by Sacramento City College at 9:15 am and goes to the Sacramento Convention Center (1301 L St).

Beyond 9/11 Truth

TruthMove is an organization dedicated to promoting an accurate view of current events and their global context. According to the website Insight and Informed Citizenship is the focal point of the international truth movement. TruthMove intends to provide the most accessible, concise guide to vital information, facts, and perspectives that have been suppressed by the government and mainstream media. Following is more information from their Insight page:

"We have made a concerted effort to summarize evidence and information. We do not try to hide what we think are the implications of the facts and evidence. This is done in the interest of popularizing information that can be quite obscure and dry. There is no substitute for thinking for oneself. Strategies and Solutions Conference

NIST's Impressive Pile...

According to a critique by Mark H. Gaffney "Dead On Arrival: The NIST 9/11 Report on the WTC Collapse," the NIST report "remains the official US government explanation for why the WTC collapsed on 9/11....the report itself collapses under scrutiny. There is no doubt that the NIST investigation was politically controlled by limiting its scope, thereby making the truth unobtainable."

According to its website, "NIST is a non-regulatory federal agency...its mission is to promote U.S. innovation and industrial competitiveness by advancing measurement science, standards, and technology in ways that enhance economic security and improve our quality of life." NIST also plays a strong role in supporting police state technology as well, "NIST is playing a key role in enhancing the nation’s homeland security...NIST is helping the millions of individuals in law enforcement, the military, emergency services, information technology, airport and building security, and other areas protect the American public from terrorist threats."

Although not an investigative agency, NIST maintains another website: NIST and the World Trade Center that actually displays a photo of a large stack of its final reports on the investigation (as shown above).

The Need for a Truly Independent Investigation

The 9/11 Initiative, based in New York City, has developed a three part action plan and charter to address the need for a truly independent investigation. Giuliani Files Papers to Explore Presidential Run
According to an article in the New York Times, November 22, 2006, "...Rudolph W. Giuliani of New York has filed papers with the Federal Election Commision to create a presidential exploratory committee... Mr. Giuliani’s filing, hand-delivered to the commission on Monday, says he is still 'testing the waters,' meaning that for now, he can raise and spend money on polls and travel but not declare himself a candidate or build a substantial war chest."

While this is likely all talk; it could pose many opportunities to bring out aspects of 9/11 truth. Although it is highly unlikely that those currently in power will relinquish it.

November 14 Report

Sacramento 9/11 Truth would like to thank Ken Jenkins for his excellent presentation last Thursday. The attendees were very interested and many stayed to ask questions until well after 10 pm. Also, thank you to Sacramento Area Peace Action for co-sponsoring the event. 9/11 Truth is a peace and justice issue and the co-sponsorship was very significant.

If you missed this event, Ken Jenkins has other films and presentation material; Sacramento 9/11 Truth plans to bring him back for another event in the near future. Details will be posted as they become available. Also, Ken prepares much of the material available from 9/11 TV (see previous post for more info.)

Also of special note, Tuesday morning (11/14) local activist David Kimball was interviewed on AM1320’s show The Morning Retort with Scott and Sims to discuss 9/11 and the event scheduled that evening. The interview lasted approximately 20 minutes and Kimball managed to present a lot of key information. During the day, the station posted the evening event on their website, unfortunately no audio is available.

Boston 9/11 Truth Committee plans to stage a 9/11 Truth Tea Party on December 16, 2006.

"In keeping with the defiance and patriotic symbolism of the 1773 activists, 9/11 Truth Tea Party proclamations will be posted throughout Boston prior to the 'Tea Party.' At 11:30 a.m. on December 16, 9/11 Patriots will gather at Faneuil Hall to hear the 911Truth Tea Party Proclamation read publicly. Pending permits from the City of Boston, they will then march along the Freedom Trail, through Boston Common and Downtown Crossing to the original Tea Party site at the Seaport Ave. Bridge over Fort Point Channel, carrying crates containing copies of the 9/11 Commission Report. There, spokespersons will cast a larger-than-life size replica of the 9/11 Commission Report into Boston Harbor. The event will conclude with teams of 9/11 Patriots casting crates of 9/11 Reports into the harbor."

A Canadian group, the Coalition to Oppose the Arms Trade, offers a publication titled Press for Conversion. In its 59 issues, Press for Conversion has explored a wide range of topics; of particular interest is Issue 50 (January 2003) which was devoted to exploring the history of US War Pretext events. Following is a description:

#50 (January 2003): Going to War: The American use of War Pretext Incidents. "This issue contains original research revealing that U.S. war planners have repeatedly used elaborate webs of deceit to con the public into rallying behind major wars whose real purposes involved building vast profits for small corporate elites. There has long been a specific pattern of trickery and propaganda that has been used to generate the much-needed domestic support for aggressive U.S. wars. This weekend (October 18-22) an important convention is taking place in Austin, Texas. The National Lawyers Guild is hosting the Law for the People Convention that includes numerous panel discussions and workshops. Two major panels include:

The Surveillance State: Politics and Law. The panel will discuss the construction of a surveillance state in the U.S., government infiltration of political and activist groups, and the NSA warrantless electronic surveillance; and, analyze the current administration’s “unitary executive” theory of constitutional law.

Occupation and Resistance in Palestine, Lebanon and Iraq. The panel is co-sponsored by the National Council of Arab Americans and will discuss how United States imperialism, fueled by global racism and capitalism, uses military occupation as a weapon to enforce its economic and political hegemony and prop up its allies throughout the world.

Defense Committee Formed for the Liberty City 7

On September 28, 2006, the Miami Herald reported that activists announced the formation of the Liberty City 7 Defense Committee.

' ''We conclude that these arrests were wrongful, politically motivated and racially motivated,'' said Max Rameau of Miami CopWatch, a lead group organizing the defense committee...Family members of three of the men -- Narseal Batiste, Stanley Phanor and Lyglenson Lemorin -- stood shoulder to shoulder, wearing t-shirts that featured the men's photographs and the words: "The U.S. government is the real terrorist!'' '

In addition to the defense committee there is a movement to Free the Liberty City 7 that "calls on all lovers of freedom and social justice to unite" with the following demands: the immediate release of the Liberty City 7; reparations to the families of the Liberty 7 for emotional, physical and psychological trauma inflicted by the ordeal; an international press conference held by all major media denouncing all slanderous comments made of the Liberty City 7 – including accusations of terrorism and criminals.

It is well known that there is no basis for the accusations made by the state against the LC7, yet we are left to wonder what will happen to groups/individuals such as the LC7 now that the laws have been amended.

Media activists such as TVNewsLies have it right, half of the story is one complete lie...what about ignoring the story altogether?

Alexander's September Slander

When George W. Bush stated, “let us never tolerate outrageous conspiracy theories,” Alexander Cockburn took it to heart. Reminiscent of right-wing shock jock radio hosts, Cockburn responded to the 9/11 truth movement with angst, drama, and personal attacks. His rant lacked facts, rational thought, and logic and made no points other than he feels bumbling bureaucrats and government foibles are to blame. His inflammatory and disrespectful remarks fell just shy of the zealots who want to stop the “unpatriotic, treasonous” questioners of 9/11. When the line was drawn and Bush declared—you’re either with us or you're with the terrorists, Cockburn opted to preserve himself by siding with the administration.

Berkeley Event

Sacramento 9/11 Truth activists traveled to Berkeley on Sunday, September 24, 2006, to attend the KPFA event, 9/11 & American Empire: Intellectuals Speak Out (after the recently released book Volume I of the same title). The event was sold-out (with over 800 in attendance) and many waited in a long line to try to buy tickets at the door. Ray McGovern hosted the event following an introduction by Bonnie Faulkner of KPFA. The first speaker was David Ray Griffin who noted that the 9/11 Truth Movement is a broad movement that covers the entire political spectrum (not solely leftists as the media would have people believe) and noted a list of conservative and libertarian 9/11 Truth Activists. He concluded noting that defending the Official Conspiracy Theory is an irrational and unscientific approach. Kevin Ryan was the second speaker noting many of the shortcomings and obvious oversights of the NIST report. Griffin and Ryan were followed by Peter Dale Scott, and Peter Phillips (event info. and brief speaker bios). The event was filmed by KPFA and C-SPAN who will be airing the event within a few weeks. Once airdates are known they will be posted.

Truth is More Powerful than Fear or War

Understanding how to communicate about 9/11 is critical to any outreach strategy. There are many ways to approach discussion on 9/11; an activist in Colorado has an interesting web page The Psychology of 9/11 Perception. The page is very low tech, but the information is interesting. There are also sample flyers regarding different approaches to communicating with others. There is no right way to communicate; some people are ready to head straight to a factual presentation, others need to have a personal connection "how does this affect me," and others are careful about protecting their comfort zone.

New York 9/11 Truth is hosting an event that should take place in all communities: "9/11 Truth and Peace, Learn why 9/11 Truth is the vortex for all global issues impacted by the imperial agenda for empire." The concept is very relevant but lost by many who have made a conscious choice to avoid the truth about 9/11 or draw connections to the catalyst used to launch the New World Order and unending war.

It is clear that the truth movement is making significant progress and thanks go out to all who coordinated 9/11 truth and outreach events throughout the country over the past week. Unfortunately some who appear to be a beacon of truth actually serve to conceal it; this is in direct reference to a popular leftist radio/television news program that aired a 9/11 debate this past Monday. The Popular Mechanics propagandists should have been scheduled to debate the person who wrote the article that debunked their 9/11 hit piece; however, a source has indicated that Jim Hoffman who wrote the cover piece for Global Outlook (issue 10) was not invited to participate. You may recall another program from May 2004 where the same host featured a "debate" between Chip Berlet (who has many web pages devoted to mocking so-called conspiracy theorists) and author David Ray Griffin. These "control the debate" tactics are those used by the likes of Fox News, MSNBC, etc., and should not be part of the alternative news. One is left to wonder why this program has avoided hosting a one-on-one interview with key 9/11 researchers rather than stage a "debate."

Steven Jones Placed on Leave by BYU

According to a Utah paper Deseret Morning News, Professor Steven Jones has been placed on paid leave while BYU reviews his involvement in the 9/11 Truth Movement. The article refers to Jones achieving "celebrity" status with "conspiracy-theory groups."

"Physics professor Steven Jones has made numerous statements about the collapse of the World Trade Center. BYU has repeatedly said that it does not endorse assertions made by individual faculty. We are, however, concerned about the increasingly speculative and accusatory nature of these statements by Dr. Jones. Furthermore, BYU remains concerned that Dr. Jones' work on this topic has not been published in appropriate scientific venues. Owing to these issues, as well as others, the university has placed Dr. Jones on leave while we continue to review these matters."

Ironworkers and 9/11

One of the many 9/11 shows currently being aired on cable television had an interesting title: Metal of Honor - The Untold Story of the Ironworkers of 9/11. The film documented the rescue efforts of New York City structural ironworkers. Readers must be thinking why waste time viewing these programs, but some of these programs reveal small pieces of the big puzzle and further support the 9/11 truth movement. There were many noteworthy details revealed throughout the film:

Regarding the fall of the twin towers, one speaker said "you couldn't have paid a demolition company to do it straighter," noting how very few surrounding buildings were damaged and how much damage there would have been had the towers toppled to the side.
One heading that flashed during the film indicated that the towers were a symbol of peace.
At first there were many volunteers to help search and clear out material but the site became too chaotic and there were concerns about injury so the government hired general contractors to establish a chain of command.
Everything was pulverized there were no desks, computers, or laptops.
After the towers were destroyed there was one foot of dust on the ground.
The last fire was put out on December 19, 2001.
Fires and explosions occurred often during the clean up.
In the underground area, some cars were untouched in the parking garage and some businesses did not have any damage.
Workers witnessed massively mangled, crushed, and crumpled steel and could not imagine the amount of force it would take to cause such damage.
All material had been cleared within 8 1/2 months, 3 months ahead of schedule.

There should be a group of ironworkers for 9/11 truth, not to mention pilots, structural engineers, firefighters, and others who understand the nuances, can expose key facts, and reveal that that the official fiction is completely impossible.

The 9/11 Days of Truth Shall Commence

As indicated in a previous post, from September 1-11, extra efforts will be made to share information about 9/11 with others to share the truth and expose the Official Deception. It is more important than ever to shed light on the truth of 9/11 to battle the massive lies and disinformation that have been repackaged and are currently being broadcast on virtually every major television and cable television network.

Some outreach strategies have been identified, a supply of deception dollars has been secured, and handouts will be copied and ready for distribution.

There are numerous local events and places where people gather in the Sacramento area; some options include:

Chalk it Up! at 15th/P Streets in Sacramento, get a square of sidewalk and design some 9/11 chalk art.
Old Sacramento-Gold Rush Days.
Farmers markets can be found in all areas of Sacramento on virtually every day of the week.
The Capitol, there are rallies taking place around the Capitol almost on a daily basis, not to mention a steady flow of tourists.
Any public sidewalk that is well traveled.
Those who are bold may opt to stroll through a mall or leave material on a car windshield.

School Textbooks Reinforce 9/11 Lies and Racist Rhetoric

The August 17, 2006, edition of the Sacramento News and Review published an article about a local man who noted that his son's 9th grade world geography textbook included serious misinformation about 9/11 and reinforced the myth of the "war on terror" in the minds of our youth.

Note: In California, textbook adoption for history and social science (grades kindergarten through grade eight) takes place at the California Department of Education. For grades 9-12, textbooks are adopted at the local level.

9/11 Days of Truth

Newsweek Doublespeak

Newsweek's August 7, 2006, cover is devoted to Oliver Stone's new film World Trade Center. In true Orwellian fashion the cover states "the controversial director chooses courage over conspiracy." The article repeats several times that Stone is telling a "true story" from the perspectives of ordinary men and women on the ground, it goes further to note that if Stone has a theory regarding 9/11 he is keeping it to himself and throws in some unrelated phrases about capitalism and the new world order used entirely out of context. The article includes an insert that shows a brief history of "artistic responses" to 9/11, failing to make any mention of the 9/11 Truth Movement. Strangely enough, two pages after the cover article concludes, there is a brief article "How American Myths are Made" stating "Nations need a good story line to learn how to cope with their tragedies."

Another 9/11 Myth Film Hits Theatres August 9th

Oliver Stone's new film World Trade Center opened at theatres on August 9th. This is the second film in recent months to publicly reinforce the commonly held myths about what really happened on 9/11/2001.United 93, a film that came out earlier this year, served the same purpose by reinforcing the American Hero myth of the flight that allegedly crashed near Shanksville, PA.
