It is Griffin the theologian, who's entire life has, after all, been devoted to the belief in myths as reality, who is fabricating yet more myths based on misunderstandings and misrepresentations of thoroughly vetted facts.
Griffin is a perfect bookend for that other confabulist, George W. Bush. They each reinforce the mega myth of the other's "invincible power".
